GlassLampShades.org was started by a glasswork enthusiast who makes his own glassware at a local shop. There's nothing like sweating over a hot furnace, rolling glass on a blow pipe and hammering it with a jacks to get the shape right. The history of glass itself is also fascinating, and he hopes he has conveyed some of it in his explanations of the beauty of glass lamp shades.
